Fundraising

Support for the work of STAUNCH to date has been remarkable but if we are to continue to effectively challenge the decimation of our countryside, preserve the environmental integrity of the Upper Nene Valley and to protect the community interests of its villages from inappropriate, unsustainable over commercialisation, we desperately need your help.

We have a fundraising target that reads like a very big number…. but it is eminently achievable!

You can make a secure credit card donation right now using the form on the right. The payment will be taken via PayPal but you do not need a PayPal account to proceed. Simply follow the instructions. The process is completely secure.

Alternatively, you may make a donation via cheque or direct bank transfer using the details below.

Finally, if you have any questions or would simply like to discuss our work and fundraising/sponsorship opportunities, please contact Genette Snowdon or Iain Scotland at funding@staunchcampaign.org.

Thank you.

Thank You!

Thanks to your generosity, we’ve raised a massive £23,431.00 to support the campaign!

Please help us fight against this destructive development

Villages and towns in this beautiful rural area are becoming inundated with large, ugly warehouses and more are being planned.

The increase in heavy goods vehicles and subsequent air, noise and light pollution will result in a reduction in the quality of life for all residents in the Upper Nene Valley.

Increased industrialization will contribute to global warming, flooding and climate change.

The loss of countryside will reduce the diversity of plants, animals and birds, never to be regained. Crucially, it will also reduce our capacity to grow our own food, making us increasingly reliant on imports.

We must fight to ensure speculative developers are not allowed to exploit budget constrained councils into permitting inappropriate and unsustainable development for short term profit.

Please note, it has come to our attention that people have been "donating" through the change.org portal - which hosts the STAUNCH petition. The rather misleading text encourages visitors to "chip in" to support the petition. However, none of the funds raised on change.org will come to STAUNCH. Only use the instructions on this site to support the STAUNCH campaign.
