Art Sale in Titchmarsh Church last Sunday

Despite a wet start to the day, the Art sale in Titchmarsh church on Sunday 23rd October was a great success and raised over £1,800 for STAUNCH.

Local artist Daphne Winsor was delighted to sell 56 or her 75 paintings and generously donated 50% of the proceeds to STAUNCH, to help in their fight against two warehouse planning applications in Titchmarsh.

STAUNCH said “This is a fantastic result! We are very grateful to Daphne for her kind donation. STAUNCH would also like to thank members of Titchmarsh History Association for all the hard work they put into organising the event. It was great to see local residents working together to raise funds that will go towards protecting something they feel passionate about i.e.to protect the beautiful countryside around the Upper Nene valley and prevent unnecessary, inappropriate and unsustainable development that will destroy countryside, wildlife and the way of life we all enjoy!”
